Sebastiano Toma (1955) ha desarrollado su labor dramatúrgica tanto en Italia como en Alemania. Ha sido autor, actor, escenógrafo, productor, director de escena y fundador del grupo Fliegende Bauten (Edificios volantes), en el que explora un nuevo concepto de circo, aún más cercano al teatro. Ha dirigido, entre otras, las obras Tiger Lillies Freakshow y Little Big World, que también se han estrenado en otros países europeos. Su hijo Lorenzo (1994) ha realizado prácticas de dirección artística en cine y teatro, y en la actualidad estudia diseño en la Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas de Hamburgo, ciudad en la que ambos viven y trabajan.
